Which cabinets can be refinished? Solid wood, plywood, and most factory-finished cabinets refinish well. Thermofoil and laminate need a specific primer system and we'll tell you honestly if yours aren't a good candidate. Will the finish chip? Cabinet-grade enamel over a properly cleaned and primed surface is built for daily use. The failures people see almost always trace back to skipped degreasing or the wrong primer. Are the doors sprayed on site or off site? Doors and drawer fronts are sprayed in a controlled setup for the smoothest result, and the boxes and frames are finished in place with the room contained.
